Lord Kapila is the amsa (portion) of Lord Vishnu. He is the same Supreme Spirit but accepted material body. He exhibits a portion of the majestic attributes of Lord Vishnu
Lord Kapila is the founder of Samkhya philosophy i.e. distinguish matter from spirit through analytical study and experience
He showcased that women are qualified for Vedic knowledge and Yogic practice for attaining liberation

Explained that the Supreme Spirit (Brahman) is understood as Purusa (Supreme Lord) and Prakriti (energies)
